ConnectCommerce Update

Labels: Features
We are pleased to unveil a refreshed ConnectCommerce user interface. We have made improvements to overall navigation and usability and have updated colors and styles to reflect the new Google Affiliate Network brand. This update should leave the interface simpler to understand and navigate. Please note that we are not currently integrated with Google Accounts and you must continue to use your ConnectCommerce username and password to log in.
Google is dedicated to providing the best possible user experience. This release is another step toward our goal of improving user experience and delivering value for our partners.
ConnectCommerce is the reporting and tracking platform that powers Google Affiliate Network.

What is the status of reviewing all the sign-ups I assume you received after the Google announcement? Enter the 8th day with no response. I was having great success with G-referrals and hope to continue with the new affiliate program. (Hope my advertisers are making the move also :))

We are sorry for the delay in reviewing your application. While we have had an influx of applications that delay is unusual. Please contact affiliatesupport@google.com so the publisher support team can follow up on your application.

Just checked with our office address and found it is incorrect.
So please advise if we want to revise it online.
Can I correct and revise it?
I am in Hong Kong.
Please comments asap.

I have been a member of connect commerce before, and I like the new look.I was wondering, being the owner of multiple sites, do I have to apply with each site separately, or can I ,after becoming a google affiliate member, place ads on my other sites?

I wish the account will soon be merged with Google account. It was easier to manage the referral on Adsense account, so we don't need to log on twice on different webs.
My advice is google give payments online like with Paypal or western union on every country.
It's tough to get payment done by checks. It's either taking time too long or the fee for collection is just too expensive.

Google Affiliate Network publishers can use as many sites as they like.
However, ConnectCommerce only allows one site to be associated to each
account.
You have three options to use multiple sites in Google Affiliate Network:
1) Create separate Google Affiliate Network accounts for each site you want to have advertiser links on. You will have to submit separate applications for each site you want a Google Affiliate Network account opened for.
2) Use member identification (MID) tracking.
MID tracking is a system where you give certain links separate codes so you can tell which site the click came from. MID tracking is necessary if you wish to keep track of commissions made from each site separately.
To utilize MID tracking, append your standard Google Affiliate Network tracking link with an additional URL parameter beginning with the characters
mid=
For example, a standard Google Affiliate Network tracking link looks like:
http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/tp...000000000000000
where lid is the unique ID of the link assigned to you by Google Affiliate Network, and pubid is the unique number that identifies each affiliate publisher.
To use MID tracking, add the MID parameter (&mid=) to the end of the link, such as:
http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/tp...0000000&mid=xxx
where xxx = a unique identifier that corresponds to the website that you need to track separately. MID’s can be up to 256 characters long, and all special characters must be HTML encoded.
Publishers should not be passing any personally identifiable information (such as email address, social security number, banking information, etc.) in the MID field. If this is done, Google Affiliate Network will purge the
information from our system and it will not be recoverable.
3) Use one Google Affiliate Network account. You would use the same link on all sites and track all activity in aggregate.
If you are going to use option 2 or 3, please also make sure to list all of the sites that are associated with your account in the "Publisher Site Description" section of your account profile in ConnectCommerce.

I signed up for the Google Affiliate Network over a week ago and there is an account management page but when I try to add products etc., I get an error saying I have not yet been approved. I must be mistaken, I thought it said within 48 hours when I signed up?
I do very well with Adsense and am very anxious to get going with the new program. That is, if I am approved?????

If you click 'other' at the bottom of the drop down menu in the locale box, you'll find more locations including India.
Sorry for the confusion.

We at GreenGenius are dismayed with Google Affiliate Network's lack of support. As a brand new affiliate we have vainly been trying to get someone to respond to our numerous emails to expand our data feed (we have been trying for 30 days without remedy). Unfortunately, no one at Google Affiliate Network will respond.
It is very difficult to believe that Google is serious about the affiliate network business.

How do we "nudge" an advertiser we are having much success with via Google Referrals to ensure they sign up for Google Affiliates?
Email them directly or email Affiliate customer service to have them do it?

How can I get the folks reviewing my app to realize the Catch-22 I am in and to quit sending me a generic email? My email address reflected in the WHOIS records - when I log in, it says I am deactivated. They told me to reapply. When I reapply, I am told that it already belongs to an account...which I can't log into! So they told me to reapply using a different email address - and then decline the app because it doesn't match the WHOIS email. Well DUH!!
They don't seem to understand that I am trying to get my old account reactivated. They keep sending me the same, generic response with no end in sight!!

I applied for the program in late May or early June and I'm still not approved. I think my application (which says it's still pending) might have been lost in the shuffle when Google took over. I just sent an email to support thanks the comments on this post.
I hope I hear back from support soon!

RLynn, you are not alone regarding this Catch 22 situation at ConnectCommerce of prior users who have been in this loop for years. I am sure there are many, many more. If others have had this problem with Connect Commerce, let all of us know about it. Google should direct ConnectCommerce to consider the Catch 22 applicants as "New" applicants in order to clean up this unfortunate situation.

I am very disappointed with the Google Affiliate Network and also the publisher management interface which gives errors like "The requested URL was not found on this server." I have been trying to get a new website activated on the Network since July but am unable to discover what the Google Affiliate Network system wants. I have also emailed affiliatesupport@google.com numerous times with different questions and get the same form letter each time. I wouldn't recommend this affiliate network to anyone and in fact I am asking the advertiser I wanted to use to find a different affiliate provider.
