ConnectCommerce scheduled maintenance

Thursday, December 11, 2008 | 2:51 PM

We will be performing routine maintenance on Friday night December 12, 2008 8:00 P.M. EST through Saturday December 13, 2008 4:00 A.M. EST.

Although you won't be able to log in to
ConnectCommerce during the maintenance window, tracking will NOT be affected. However, reporting data may be delayed for a few hours after the interface comes back online.

None of my sales have been showing in the reports since the interface came back on line. Are others experiencing this problem? When do you anticipate that the stats will begin showing normally again?

Yes we are experiencing this too but only for our major advertiser, the rest are showing up properly. Hope everything works out.

Same here, my top affiliate I received 0 sales when I usually receive 20-30 a day. I emailed google and I got a auto reply from Jamie Ross saying I will be out till 11/19/08 so then I ended up emailing the follow up email he gave me in the auto reply and I have not heard word back. I will post any updates as soon as I hear something.

@angelis: I did the exact same thing so I'll be interested to hear if you hear anything since I haven't either. I am showing sales this morning but still nothing for Saturday and Sunday.

I just heard back guys, they said there was a outage for drjays, im not sure about other affiliates but it looks to me they are going to compensate us for the loss in sales.

The email I received said the outage was for saturday and sunday so any sales for those days should be compensated for. If not I would advise calling google directly. I will post there number if possible. If not try emailing your affiliate. DrJays affiliate email is Drjays-affiliates@google.com if you need to contact them. I am going to wait until the end of the day then I am going to email them about what the compensation is. Ill let you all no what I hear. Im probably going to change afiliates if compensation isnt met. I cant afford to be investing my time into this and not getting paid for my efforts to bring these companies money Im sure none of you can do the same.

This is the follow up reply I received from google It looks like they are prolonging the process. In the mean time I will remain skeptical about google affiliate program and start moving towards linkshare and cj. Although having to have to pay for there data feeds it is more important I can rely on a company I get paid regularly with. Im sure all of you can agree.

Hi,

We are currently working with Dr. Jays to compensate publishers for the
weekend outage. Once it has been confirmed we will be sure to notify all
publishers. If you have any additional questions please feel free to
contact Kristina Miller, the Account Manager, at krmiller@google.com

More to the follow up.

Kristina Wrote from google,

We should have an answer for publishers this week or early next week.

I will follow up more shortly

Thanks, Angelis, for the update. I'm hopeful this gets resolved soon.

Anyway, I was hoping that Connect Commerce would have a few more advertisers than CJ, but...after spending a few days with it...the quality of offers and advertisers just aren't as good as CJ.

It doesn't even show I'm referring visitors most of the day. I know I'm referring visitors -- my own stats show it. Something is wrong with GAN's tracking!!

Plus, this affiliate network isn't very affiliate-friendly. Not easy to reach a manager. I guess I have to prove to you guys I can sell, but without a little assistance in the beginning, it's harder for me to sell. Tough position.

Well, we got word about the Dr. Jay's thing today. It's better than nothing, but it sure seems like Dr. Jay's ended up ahead on this which, in my opinion, isn't right considering it was a mistake on their end. If anything they should have over compensated, not under. I was under the impression that the outage had lasted at least two days -- now they're claiming one and a half. Oh well, not what I was hoping for -- but better than nothing.

The outage did last 2 days so they should be compensating for the whole 2 days. I just emailed Kristina at Google about this, Im waiting to hear back. I will get back with the update asap.

Why is it that no sales coming from GOOGLE Affiliate Network inform the correct referring website in GOOGLE Analytics?

Since I started selling my products through GOOGLE Affiliate Network my GOOGLE Analytics Traffic sources reports have a huge amount of(direct)/(none).

In other words I cannot double check the data given to me by GOOGLE Affiliate Network.

GOOGLE Analytics is a very good tool and has been informing all my sales correctly all the way from referring URL to time of day and even geographic region (city) where sale came from...

What can I do to make sure GOOGLE Analytics Reports (which I learned to trust) correctly receives data from GOOGLE Affiliate Network (which I am still learning to trust)
