Announcing Google Affiliate Network payments through Google AdSense
Thursday, August 13, 2009 | 8:21 AM
Google Affiliate Network publisher payments will now be made through AdSense to offer publishers a wider range of payment options. Publishers can also manage their payment information in new ways and enjoy consolidated payments from Google if they use other Google products.
Starting on August 13, 2009, the primary user of your Google Affiliate Network publisher account will see an account notification asking them to create an AdSense account or link to an existing account. Accounts linked before midnight (Eastern Standard Time) on September 21st, 2009 will receive payments through AdSense for July and August 2009 earnings (depending on relevant advertiser payment terms). Publishers should create or link an AdSense account as soon as possible to avoid delays in Google Affiliate Network payments.
Earnings prior to July 2009 will be made through the existing Google Affiliate Network payment system.

Sheila Parker

I am confused. I do not want to participate in AdSense. Is my only other choice to leave Google affiliate program? I need an answer. I have no contact number to use or e-mail address to get an answer. I see AdSense as intrusive on website visitors and some affiliate aggreements I have signed prohibit my participation in AdSense and AdWords.I want an answer from GOOGLE, Sheila, I do not want to go to a forum and waste time looking and looking and finding nothing.

I agree with Majed. When I click on "Yes, I have an Adsense account" there is suppose to be a drop down and mine does NOT work. I was told to have Java enabled which I do and it still does NOT work.

There was a bug with the application which we've recently fixed. You will need to have javascript enabled in order for the form to work.
Also, to answer perieins question, you do not need to run AdSense ads on your site. However you do need an account in the AdSense system so that we can continue to pay you.

I think that is very unfair to those of us who can NOT get an adsense account, because we have been turned down for one reason or another.
That is the situation that I find myself in. I have applied to adsense and was rejected without so much as an explanation. Which I also think is unfair. How are we as publishers supposed to meet their standards if they won't even tell us what the problem is that they have with our sites.
I don't think that it is fair of them to ram Google Adsense down out thoats!
